overview

this website (davidtran.dev) is a personal engineering portfolio and blog operated by david tran. i prioritize user privacy and adhere to minimal, transparent data collection practices.

analytics & tracking

i use openpanel for lightweight, privacy-friendly analytics. openpanel does not collect personally identifiable information (pii), does not use invasive tracking cookies, and does not track users across distinct domains.

collected metrics include aggregated page visits, referrers, and general device types to understand content reach.

view count storage

blog post view counts are stored in a distributed sqlite database powered by turso. no ip addresses, session cookies, or user identifiers are recorded when view counts are incremented.

comments & third-party services

blog post comments are powered by utterances via github issues. when you comment, your github profile and comment data are processed by github in according with github's privacy policy.

the site is hosted globally on cloudflare workers and cloudflare pages. cloudflare processes standard web traffic to deliver content securely and mitigate attacks.

data sharing

i do not sell, rent, monetize, or disclose visitor data to advertisers, brokers, or any third parties.
